Theme: Big Conversations Continued

Each year we welcome Elected Officials and those involved in Local Government to attend this 2.5 day conference. This event includes a tradeshow along with workshops, seminars, and keynote speakers, as well as our annual AGM and resolution session. We will be continuing with the Big Conversations format and building upon the member engagement and interaction that contributed to last year’s success and positive feedback.

 

Registration

Registration will open in early February 2017.

Accommodations

Hotel rooms at the Harrison Hot Springs Resort & Spa can be booked at a discounted convention rate by calling 1-800-663-2266. To receive the discount, please let them know that you are with the Lower Mainland Local Government Association. Rates start at $149 per night for the main hotel. Please note that a non-refundable deposit for the first nights room and tax is required at the time of booking. 

Sponsorship

The Lower Mainland LGA is pleased to present the Sponsorship Opportunities for the 2017 Annual General Meeting and Conference. Below you will find the link to download the sponsorship opportunity listing. Returning sponsors will be given until February 1, 2017 to secure the same sponsorship option as last year. 

Allocation of tradeshow booth spaces (limited to 16) will first be provided to retuning sponsors followed by returning exhibitors. Confirmation of both returning sponsors and exhibitors is required by February 1, 2017. After February 1, 2017 new sponsors and exhibitors are welcome to the remaining tradeshow spaces on a first come first serve basis.

Workshop Proposals

Workshop proposal submissions are accepted until January 13, 2017. Please email completed proposals to Sherryl Parsons at sparsons@rareaffairs.ca and Jamee Justason at jjustason@ubcm.ca.

Charitable Non-Profit Booth Application

Each year the Lower Mainland LGA selects a local charitable organization that would benefit by participating in the tradeshow. The below application must be filled out and submitted by March 1, 2017 to sparsons@rareaffairs.ca.
